Pakistan: Launching Ceremony of Mother & Child Health Week and World Immunization Week 4 Jun 2013

“For the 1st time in Khyber Pakhtoonkhuwa, the Department of Health is going to celebrate World Immunization Week and Mother & Child Health week on the same day to cover un-vaccinated children, vaccination of pregnant ladies, provide Tetanux Toxiade Vaccination to all females of ‘Child Bearing Age’ and last but not the least deworming of children”, said by Dr. Rooh Ullah Jan Sb at the inaugural ceremony of the event in Peshawar on 24 March 2013.

Celebrating Child Protection Day 3 Jun 2013


To celebrate International Child Protection Day on the 1 June, mothers, children, government officials and Save the Children International staff gathered in Kurgan-Tube on the 29 May 2013 to promote the health and wellbeing of children. The special feature of the event was the presence of young babies under one year of age at the celebration.
