On August 5th, 2013, Mali celebrated World Breastfeeding Week. Chaired by the representative of the Minister of Health in presence of UNICEF, WHO, Helen Killer, Save the Children representatives and many other civil society organizations involved in the field of nutrition, the event occurred in the village of Safo, located about 30 km south of Bamako.

On July 5, 2013, Mali, like the international community, celebrated the 9th year of Safe Motherhood Day. The theme this year was "Pregnancy and consequences to adolescents in crisis." The celebration event took place at the Niamana displaced camp and was chaired by Ms. Traoré Mintou Doucouré, the wife of the Interim President of the Republic, in the presence of Soumana Makadji, the Minister of Health.

The EVERY ONE campaign in Mali has launched a new website: www.campagnetousetchacun.ml

The website was officially launched in March 2013 by Zoumana Makadji, Mali’s Minister of Health, in the presence of the Save the Children Country Director and representatives of UNFPA, UNICEF, Plan Mali and World Vision. Also, many EVERY ONE Technical Committee members and members of the media were on hand for the event.
