Marking the climax of the EVERY ONE campaign, Save the Children Japan conducted a visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and met with Hiroshi Minami, the Deputy Director General for Global Issues and Ambassador for Civil Society with three junior high school students who participated in the Race for Survival.  The students from Kinuta Junior High School, where we conducted the EVERY ONE presentation and the Race for Survival expressed their interests and voluntarily participated in the advocacy activity.

As part of the series of events for the EVERY ONE campaign in Japan leading up to 23 October, Global Day of Action, Save the Children Japan staff visited Kinuta Junior High School in Tokyo to give a lesson to 170 students in 7th grade about Millennium Development Goal 4 and child survival. The lesson included explaining the situation of children dying from preventable causes and possible solutions, “EVERY ONE quiz” on MDG4 and child survival, and Save the Children’s efforts in program delivery and advocacy.
