700 children take part in the Race for Survival in Bolivia 22 Oct 2012
On 16th October, children in Bolivia celebrated World Food Day with excitement! More than 700 children, from across eight schools participated in Save the Children’s Race for Survival event. Save the Children Bolivia partnered with other local non-government organisations, including Eco Jovenes, Aini, Cistem and other organisations that work in the city of El Alto.
The event was well attended by parents and teachers cheering the children on from the sideline. Well known Bolivian musicians Negro y Blanco entertained the children, creating an atmosphere of dancing and smiling children. Other important local personalities also attended the event, including the Bolivia 2012 Olympics representative Claudia Balderrama. This most certainly was an event filled with happiness, music and hope for children.
